creepy crawlers in the jungle of Peru
The center is 100% bug free... errr...and we have little flying jungle piglets as well!
Of course the above is not true, however we take every precaution possible, and lets address this issue:
First of all this area of the Peruvian Amazon is much milder and not as aggressive as other areas of the Amazon such as Iquitos, and there are surprisingly few flying insects that sting. More importantly, malaria is virtually non-existent.
Snakes at the center are very rare as they have a natural fear of humans, and humans have lived on the Center for many generations. Everyday the buildings are thoroughly checked, and every necessary precaution is taken to prevent snakebites.
The accommodations do not have any holes and have nets on the windows adding to further protection. The accommodations also have comfortable mosquito nets on the beds which are impenetrable for even the tiniest insects.
Rooms are swept every day for bugs.
The toilets and showers all have white tiled interiors, so in case a little creepy crawler succeeds in bypassing the severe security arrangement, you will see it immediately and can have it removed, or enjoy its beauty and have it removed afterwards.
